FINDING GLENTRESS FOREST One and a half miles east of the small town of Peebles on the A72 some 30 miles South of Edinburgh in The Scottish Borders. The entrance to the Forest is clearly marked and if you look out for the Glentress Hotel then you are very close, it lies just at the entrance to the forest. There is ample parking but note closing times, some of the car parks are locked after 6:00pm, but not all.
Forestry Commision Scotland have invested tremendously into the Mountain Biking schemes here at Glentress and throughout the Tweed Valley with the 7 Stanes Projects.

TRAIL REVIEWS: The cycling experience at Glentress Forest includes Green, Blue, Red or Black graded trails, as well as a magnificent multi-graded free-ride area. You are only a short hop from Innerleithen's famous Red Bull down-hill and cross country trails.
It's not only the Mountain Biking that's "World Class" in this part of Scotland, the area lends itself to a multitude of sports and recreational activities. There are splendid Golf Courses, Magnificent stretches of Salmon and Trout Fishing, not to mention Quad Biking, Kayak & Canoeing, Sailing, Walking, oh, and did I mention the Ospreys ?
